Marie E. Turner quietly slipped away into eternal rest on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Future Care Nursing Home at the age of 77. She was the last of seven children bom to Milton and Bessie Thomas in Baltimore, Maryland. She was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. Although she suffered a debilitating accident in her younger days, she survived; she survived and she lived. In 1961 she married Howard Turner who preceded her death. Lovingly "called (Dahree) she was known for being loud, outspoken and funny; quick to give nick-names and make funny faces. Marie loved old movies, reading and dancing. Her favorite song was 'Mother-In-Law' by Ernie K. Doe. Over several years, her niece Paula Maddox was a constant presence in her life often serving as a companion and seeing to her needs. She mainly lived a quiet, independent life until she became ill and was no longer able to live alone. Once she moved to assisted living, Marie began making new friends and living a productive life again. She leaves to mourn her devoted daughter Patricia (Beanie) Haywood-Stith, son-in-law Verdell Stith, granddaughter Chenell Fossett-Allison, grandson-in-law Adrian Allison, great-grand children Alexandra, Chase and Fallyn Allison, nieces Gwendolyn, Annette (Noonie), Bernadette (Dennie), Sharon, Paula, Gail and Karen, Patrice, and Brenda; nephews Avon, Gregory, Marvin, Warren and Brian, and a host of great nieces and nephews Viewing Joseph H.
