IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marilyn
Davis-Lee
October 14, 1944 – February 5, 2026
Marilyn Lee born October 14, 1944, age 81, departed this earthly home for her heavenly home on February 5, 2026. She was surrounded by loved ones. Marilyn was the fourth child of the late Ina (Lee Oglesby) and Paul Lee. She was raised and educated in Baltimore, Maryland. During her school years, she was known as the protector of her younger siblings.
She graduated from Dunbar High School in 1962. In 1964 she married Elwood Davis. Together they raised four children. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She took great pride in seeing them grow. She worked for decades at Martin Marietta (Lockheed Martin), where she made lifelong friends. She was a member of Agapé Miracle Church where she served as an usher.
If the worth of a life is measured in service to others, Marilyn’s life was priceless. Although she only birthed four children, she mothered so many more. She offered a home to children that had no home. She helped friends and family raise their children throughout the years. Her love for children was evident in her volunteer service to Langston Hughes Community, Business & Resource Center and the Park Heights Saints Football Organization She served them faithfully with her time and resources. She provided for children over providing for herself. The wellbeing of all children mattered most to her. She never wanted a child to go without.
Marilyn loved children with all her heart. She used her own money throughout the year to purchase gifts that she would give to children at Christmas. She believed every child should experience the love of Christmas and no child should be left out because of family circumstances.
She went to places most people would not, to serve the homeless. She brought them food, clothing and most importantly compassion. She shared what she had. She always looked for opportunities to provide the unsheltered with the basic needs of life.
She loved puzzle books and short trips. She was so proficient with the puzzle books, that it was impossible to keep her stocked. She loved taking bus trips with friends. She leaves to mourn three sons and two daughter in laws: Michael, Marvin (Robin) and Christopher (Yahnette);four siblings: Carolyn, John, Cornelia and David; three sister in laws: Barbara, Cynthia , and Marie; Nine grandchildren: Michael Jr, Lamar, Rashad, Patrick, Marvin Jr, Marnae, Krystia, TaLiah, and Ericka; eight great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was proceeded in death by her daughter Sharon; three grandchildren: Kevin, Dwayne and Marlesa; two siblings: Paul and Lillian.
