Mario Alfred Jones, son of Lucille Jones and the late George Shannon, was born on Mday 17, 1957 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on April 9, 2011 after a lengthy illness. He received his education in the Baltimore City Public Schools, which is where he learned various skills and apprenticeships, In 1976 he worked as a laborer at Pepsi Cola Company here in Maryland for five years, as well as many other jobs in Baltimore Metropolitan area. He was very hands on, loved to work and always found a way to earn a living. Mario was very well known in the community and made numerous friends wherever he went. He will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew him. He was always a true friend, devoted family man and loving father. He loved all of his children, each in his own special way, and had an individual bond with them all. He leaves to mourn; his mother, Lucille Jones; four sons, Maurice, Marcus, Micheal and Mario Jr.,; son-in-law Timothy Dye; dauther Janellle Dye; three sisters, Deborah Shields, Becky Thompson and Edna Jones; brothers, Terry Jones and the late Capres Thompson ; two aunts, Kathy Rogers and Queen Esther; eleven grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
