Marion O. Anderson was born  May  21, 1934  to  the late James and  Pearl Beverly.  After a lengthy  illness,  Marion  peacefully  transitioned  on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at the age of 90.
Marion   received   her  education  in  the  Baltimore City School System. Marion  worked  at Johns Dry  Cleaners and  Fishers Laundry and Cleaner before being employed at the State of Maryland Unemployment Administration as a Clerk, until she retired.
Marion  grew up  in  church.  She joined  The New Shiloh  Baptist Church in 1945 and was baptized under the leadership of Rev. J. Timothy Boddie. She sang on the youth and young adult choir.
Marion  married  her childhood  sweetheart,  Herman  Anderson  on December 30,  1954.  They  were married  for 64  years before his death, July 2018.
Marion wore many hats - sister, aunt, cousin. Marion was easy to talk to, so we know she carried all of our secrets to heaven with her. Her affectionate name was "Sara Pots" in which the family has met.
Marion  leaves to  cherish  her memory: her loving  sisters,  Theresa Anderson  and  Shirley  Davis; seven  nieces,  four nephews,  eight great-nieces,  four great-nephews; goddaughter,  Renee Harper; and nephew, Michael Beverly (Her Valentine). Marion had many great and  great-great-nieces and  -nephews she loved  so  dearly.  Marion also loved her adopted grandson Donte, and a host of relatives and friends.
GOD SAW YOU
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, So, He put His arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me.
With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away, And although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard-working hands at rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.
