Marisa Ann Freeman, was born on February 29, 1960 to Melvin Phillip and Peggy Marie Freeman Nee.Baker, who preceded her in death. Marisa was educated in the Baltimore City Public Schools. She graduated from Lake Clifton High School in 1978. After graduation, Marisa began her career in Hospitality Services as a waitress at the Omni Hotel's Restaurant - "Jacqueline's". Her winning smile, magnetic personality, and meticulous skills made it no surprise when she was promoted to a supervisor/manager. She worked in this position at the downtown Radission until her illness. As a young girl, Marisa was confirmed at St. Philip's Lutheran Church. She attended Sunday school, was a member of the Luther League, and the Gospel Choir. In 2002, she joined Zion Baptist Church where she gave her life to Jesus Christ, and she assisted the culinary ministry during repast. Marisa loved children and she treasured the times she spent with her granddaughter Rain and with her nephews and nieces. She enjoyed swimming, reading, watching television documentaries, comedy shows, and cartoons, listening to music, dancing, creating new recipes to cook for her family, and singing. She sang on the school choir at Lake Clifton, church choirs, and "Citizens Celebrating Baltimore". Marisa was very personable. She made friends where ever she went. She had a gift for making people laugh by telling jokes, funny stories, and imitating people. In 1976 Marisa met and joined with Robert Watkins, Jr; whom she later married. They were blessed with two children, Carrie, who who preceded her in death and her son Robert. In 1999 she met and married Gregory Ervin, and from their loving union came their daughter, Morgen. Fond and loving memories of Marisa will forever be cherished by those she leaves behind: her husband, Gregory, her son, Robert, her daughter, Morgen, and her step-daughter, Danielle James; Daughter-in-law, Sharria; granddaughter, Rain; brother, Melvin, Keith, Kevin, and Martin; sisters, Regina Patterson, Angela Freeman, and April Jackson; brother-in-law, Gerald Ervin, Henry Ervin, Vance Ervin, Robert Jackson, Robert Patterson, and Roy Watkins; sister-in-law, Barbara Freeman, Faith Freeman, Patricia Freeman, Veronica Freeman, Theresa Nicholson, and Althea Watkins, Gwendolyn Watkins; mothers-in-law, Beatrice Foster and Carrie Watkins; uncle, Peter Baker; aunts, Beverly Baker and Bernice Ward; nephews, Eric, Keith, Brain, Derrick, Alston, Donte, Kevin, and Sean; nieces Erica, Sachae', Kathryn, April and a multitude of family and friends.
