Marjorie Fitzgerald was born on June 8, 1934 in Williamston, North Carolina, she was the fourth born to the late Arthur and Minnie Williams. Marjorie peacefully transitioned from her earthly home to her eternal home after a lengthy illness on January 18, 2021.
Marjorie received her secondary education in Martin County, North Carolina and went on to graduate from Parmele High School in 1952. After high school, she relocated to Baltimore, Maryland to attend Morgan State College for a few years. She worked several jobs before being employed at Westinghouse Cooperation in 1968, from which she retired from in 1994. Retirement did not slow her down, she could be found shopping, traveling, and tending to her garden. Marjorie loved cooking for her family and friends for holiday gatherings. She was famously known for her chocolate cake, barbecue, and collard greens. She later pursued babysitting, care taking and home healthcare. She was a reliable and caring friend, often helping her friends with cleaning, or taking them to run errands. Marjorie loved the Lord and was an avid reader of her Bible. Marjorie was an active member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where the late Rev. Riddix presided. There she was a member of the choir and served on the usher board. She later transferred her membership to Calvary Baptist Church, where she served as a missionary and prime age member until her health conditions made it impossible to attend. Marjorie leaves to cherish her memories: three children, Harry, Franchot and Barry; two grandchildren, Shaina and Danielle; one brother-in-law, John Kendale. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Harry Fitzgerald Sr.; five siblings, Priscilla Williams, Johnny Williams (Louise), Leon Williams, James Williams (Ola Bell) and Victoria Kendale.
