Obituary

Mark Vincent "Daddy" was born to Fred Lee Ellison and the late Irma Lee Ellison on October 5,1961. He answered his call to glory suddenly on August 19, 2013. "Vinny" as he was so affectionately called received his early education under the New York public school system; but graduated from Frederick Douglass High School in June, 1980. Not even going to his graduation, "Vinny" enlisted into the United States Army where he served his country for three years. Short but sweet, he visited places all over the world teaching the art of communication. When 'Vinny" was finished his tour of duty and returned to Baltimore he worked for Subway, Baltimore Parks and Recreation, The Maryland Club, First Transit, the Department of Corrections and finally Watkins Security Agency. But none of these mattered until he returned to school and received his Class "A" CDL from Allstate Career Center in 2004. Driving was his passion. Of course, after basketball and the Minnesota Vikings. "The Original Purple and Gold." He was introduced to his wife Kym Yvette in October, 1994 when they begin a "Love Affair" that most only dream of. Being the family man that he was, Vincent wined, dined and spoiled her down the aisle on April 19, 2003 at Greater Faith Baptist Church where they both served. Vincent was serious about ministry and showed it by serving on The Male Chorus, the Mass Choir, Hospitality and Security, Clean-up, Transportation and when he wasn't working mid-week Bible Study. Loyalty and friendship meant everything to "Vinny" and it was proven in his daily walk. Saying what he meant and meaning what he said, he was a friend and he was friendly. Daddy leaves to cherish his memory his love Kym Kearney-Ellison of 18 years, one son Isaiah (Desmond), three daughters Deanna, Djuana, and Yolanda. Eight grandchildren, Da'Myia, Aaliyah, Tyrelle, Kumya, Jaeda, Crosston, Christian, and Chyna.
