Obituary

Marlene Jones, daughter of the late Edith Gardner and late
James Jones, was born on April 16, 1953 in Baltimore, Maryland.
She departed this life on April 3, 2018.

Marlene received her education in the Baltimore City Pubic School
System. She grew up on the 1000 block of Lexington Street.

Marlene started working at the age of 15 years old. She worked
hard to earn money until an injury prevented her from working.
Marlene enjoyed many things such as serving the Lord by singing
on a choir, she was very crafty and talented, she loved skating,
riding bikes and going to the casino. At one point in her life she
made a hobby out of going to the courthouse just to sit
in on different cases. Marlene was kind hearted and always gave
encouraging words and made friends wherever she went.

Marlene leaves to mourn: only son, Luther Lamont Wagner;
five brothers, Marvin Gardner, Kenneth Jones, Patrick Gardner,
Donald Taylor and James Jones Jr.; sister, Linda Jones; three
grandchildren, Vonda Spratley Da' Ante Cooper and Lamonte
Wagner; two great grands, Takuma Tate (JT) and Mapori Cooper;
daughter-in-law, Chantay Wagner and a host of family members
and friends.

Preceding her in death are four brothers, Eugene Gardner,
Bernard Presco, Ernest Jones and Billy Jones.
