On Thursday, January 9, 2014, the Lord suffered to remove from our midst, Marguerite Marie Woodbury. Marguerite was born on October 22, 1937 to the late Alonzo and Lucy Reynolds. Marguerite was the youngest of three siblings, Alonzo Jr; Charles and Herbert, all of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, Carl Reynolds. She was educated in the public schools of Washington, D. C. She received her Christian upbringing at a very early age. She loved to stay busy as she found employment with the Q-Tronix Corporation until her retirement. She was married to the late George Brown Sr. This union was short lived after the birth of seven children; however, they remained close friends. In the early 1970's Marguerite relocated to Baltimore, where the family made numerous friends. Marguerite had a true passion for helping others, so she decided to become a foster parent to numerous children. She continued this task by later doing adult care until her untimely passing. She also loved to travel, cook and have family gatherings, not only with her family, but also with the love of her life, her husband, Samuel Woodbury. She was a faithful member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 381. She leaves to cherish fond memories: Herhusband, Samuel "Pop Pop" Woodbury; four (4) daughters, Wanda Reynolds-Best, Denora Brown (James), Glauda Vincent (Irvin), and Drukeenu Nolan; four (4) sons, Gary Reynolds (Daffney), George Brown Jr. (Gail), Lamont Brown (Kim), and Vernon Brown; grandchildren, Gary Jr. (Syretta), Shanell, Carla (Dana), William (Brittany), Davon (Tonya), Dashawn, Janae, Darius, Lamont Jr., ADajah, Marguita, Destiny, Joshuie, Gabrielle, Lillian, Kenny, Jamy, Little Michael, Ariel and Kahla; great grandchildren, Kahrae, Qorohn, TyJae, Briyanna, Beyonnca, and Dana Jr.; godchildren, Zimmlinae, Paulette, Darlene, Vanessa and Nita; one (1) brother-in-law, Frank Brown; one (1) sister-in-law, Betty Reynolds; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
