Marquetta LaShawn Harrison, affectionately known as Keyta, was born on October 4, 1987 in Baltimore, MD to Melvin L. Harrison Jr. and Marietta Jeter. She entered eternal life on March 7, 2025.
Marquetta obtained her high school diploma through Woodlawn Job Corps Center where she also was awarded a certification in Carpentry. She then went on to complete the New Beginnings Program at Morgan State University in 2012. In 2009, she gave birth to the apple of her eye Taylor Catherine Tyson. Marquetta was employed at various locations during her lifetime where she was always a pleasure to work with. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends whom she loved like family, living her life to the fullest, and nurturing children's spirits. Keyta was an amazing, loving, and nurturing friend to all that she encountered. Those who loved her will never forget her phrase "What's Goin On?".

Thompson, brothers Melvin (Clarissa) and Marcus Harrison, sister Myshaurna Harrison, nephew Davion Harrison ,aunts Cynthia Harrison, Phyllis Hurt (Hope), Vonetta Walcott (Kyle) and Melvina Coakley, Uncle Cecil Jeter (Yvette), step grandmother Lillian Harrison, God-sister LaJuan Smith, and a host of cousins, family members, and friends.
