Marshall B. Payne, at the of ninety years old, departed this life on Thursday, March 1, 2012 after of long illness. Marshall was born in Baltimore, Maryland on January 29, 1922. Marshall was raised by his mother, Ruby Stewart and maternal family. He was married to his wife, Georgia Payne for sixty years. He was a member of Union Baptist Church. Marshall enjoyed eating at the fines restaurants, reading, Jazz music and dressing in style. Marshall received his education at Frederick Douglass Senior High School. Then he served in the United States Army and received an honorable discharge. He then attended Howard University and went to the University of New York to receive his Master's Degree. He was employed with the State of Maryland at the Division of Rehabilitation for many years. Marshall also was a Professor at Morgan state college from 1952 to 1968. Marshall the retired form the State of Maryland to open his private practice as a Psychologist from 1968 to 1997. Marshall leaves loving memories to; his wife, Georgia Payne; daughter, Geraldine J. Moore; granddaughter, Marsha B. Moore; great-grandson, Ryan Macklin; great-great-granddaughter, Zakiya Macklin; great-great-grandson, Zion Mascklin; niece, Valeria McNeill; nephews, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel V. Connor and family for Heathville, Viginia, James D. McNeil and Henry J. McNeil, grandniece, Rhonda McNeil; grand-nephew, Craig McNeil; and other relatives and friends.
