Obituary

I was born Martha Richardson March 14, 1926 to the late James and Bertha Richardson in Winnsboro, SouthCarolina. Martha was the youngest of twelve children. She was reared and received her primary education in Winnsboro, SC. At an early age, Martha and family moved to Baltimore, Maryland. MOms had tow sons, James and Jacque. She met and married Willie C. Moton and out of this union two more children were born, Raul C. and G.Felicia Moton. She carried her children and all children close to her heart. Martha loved children so much that she was a foster care mother. Then God shall say "well done my good and faithful Servant". Martha was baptized into Berea Temple Seventh-Day Adventist Churh under the leadership of Pastor John C.Smith. She loved her church and served faithfully as:Head Deaconess, Pathfinder Director, a member of the Fifty Plus, Kitchen Committee, Prison Ministry Worker, Pulpit Committee, Sabbath School Teacher, Celebration Choir and New Believers Choir, She was a suppoter of the Adventist Youth Society. Martha also served as a Bible Worker under the leadership of W.C. Scales Senior and Junior. Martha took the role seriously as a Deaconess. Not only did she care for her family she also cared for her member as well. mom Moton was a seamstress in tailor shop in New York City, NY. She shared her culinary skills and worked as a cook at the Baltimore JUnior Academy School and Gentry McDonald's Group Home where she retired. Macaroni and cheese, and sweet potato pies where her specialities. Moe-Moe loved music especially Dr. Gloria Thompson and Dr. Patrick Alston. They both shared an expertise in the organ and piano. After a lengthy illness, God in his infinite wisdom and mercy sent His angel to Future Care Lochearn Nursing Facility and allowd Martha to fall asleep on September 2, 2009 at 7:30 a.m. Bran Mommy awaits the call of the "life Giver" in the second Coming of Our Lord and Savior Juses Christ. Willie C. Moton, James, Jacque, Raul C. and her siblings preceded her in death. She is survived by: a daugther, G. Felicia; three grandsons, Vernelle, Jonathat and arais; granddaughter, Tamieka; great granddaughter, Kaija; two adopted grandsons, Robert and Christopher Noakes; sister-in-law, Daisy Richardson; godchildren, Marvis Wells, Ericka Poke, Erin Black and Clinton Black;three generations of niece, nephews, cousins friends and extended church family. WE will see you on the morning side of "LIFE".
