Martha Lee Stinson daughter of the late Norman Shamrock and Julia Bush, was born on February 25,1933 in Kelford, NC. She departed this life on August 2,2013 after a short illness. Martha, loved the Lord and gave her life to Christ at a young age at Mill Branch Baptist Church, and later attended Sandy Branch Baptist Church both located in Kelford, NC. As a young child Martha's family relocated to Suffolk, VA where she received her early education. Years later she relocated to Baltimore, MD. Martha joined 1st Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church under the leadership of the Late Bishop Leo K. Ceaser. She was a devoted member of various ministries. While attending Mt. Olive, she met and married the late Deacon .Elmo L. Stinson Sr. Following the Holy Sprits directive Martha joined New Shiloh Baptist Church under the leadership of the Late Dr. Harold A. Carter Sr., where she was a faithful member of the Willing Workers Ministry, the Senior Usher Board, as well as actively supporting other ministries of the church until health disabled her. As a Baltimore resident, Martha worked at several jobs over the years, including Bowie State University, Rockville Juvenile Correctional Facility, and Baltimore City Public Schools from which she retired. Martha was a Member of "The Order of the Eastern Star" Nazarene Chapter # 19. She served various positions in her chapter, ultimately serving as Worthy Matron, a leading position in the chapter. Sister Stinson also served as a member of the Amaranth Order. She was an avid worker until her health began to fail and she could no longer attend. Looking to live out her long-time dream of returning to her roots in North Carolina, in 1993 she relocated to Aulander, NC reuniting with family and many longtime friends. She joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church located in Lewiston, NC, where she witnessed through many ministries. Needing to return to Baltimore due to health issues she was reinstated with the New Shiloh Baptist Church family in 2002, where she was a faithful member of various ministries until her death. Martha leaves to cherish her memory Five Daughters: Carolyn Outlaw, Brenda McClenny, Lecolia Anderson, Edith Conner, and Wanda Williams; Two Sons, Willie Outlaw and Elmo L. Stinson; 13 Grandchildren: Elise DeCruise, Charlie and Kendra Outlaw, ShaRhonda, and Lucretia Stinson, Tesa Jones, Chalea Wenn, Joseph, Toya, and Ebony McClenny, Sir Allen and Tiffany Conner and RaShunda Williams; 26 Great Grand Children: Two Brothers Tom (Joe) Bush and Melvin (Big Boy) Rich; Special and loving Sisters-in-Law Margret Walker, Sylvia Creque, and Mabel Rich; One Aunt-Mozella Pettiford; A host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins. Four Spiritual Daughters Sherry Tiggett, Kathy Owens, and Linda Whitaker many friends and 2 Lifelong friends Ms. Emma Holt and Ms. Rosa Lee Boone. Viewing Joseph H. Brown Jr. Funeral Home
