IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary S.
Baker
October 24, 1928 – June 19, 2018
Ms. Mary Susie Baker
was born on October 24, 1928 in
Mont Clair, New Jersey to Abraham and Anna Blankenship.
She departed this life on Tuesday, June 19,2018. (Juneteenth)
Susie received her education from the public schools she attended
in Baltimore City. At an early age she accepted Christ as her Lord
and Savior. She was a former choir and usher member of
Cornerstone Baptist Church.
She was a devoted wife to the former John Baker and a loving
mother who gave herself unconditionally to all and she asked for
nothing in return.
She had the most calm even disposition and the most balanced
even-keel personality like no other. Everything and everyone was
good and fine without bias/or without judgement. That was just
Susie's nature.
She was a woman with her own style and grace who had a beautiful
spirit and soul. She was affectionately known to many as Susie Q.
Susie loved the beaches and her favorite park (Druid Hill), she
enjoyed her walks and going to the Inner Harbor with her dear
friend Ms. Cynthia.
Susie enjoyed wearing her red lipstick and red nail polish, keeping
her hair done, watching the AMC channel. She was very artistic and
had an amazing green thumb. She loved food and never gained a
pound. She loved going out with her Favorite granddaughter "Pam"
and dear friend Darnell.
She goes to join her daughter Judy and leaves to cherish her memory
her three children, Charles, Jo Ann and Faida; her sister, Evelyn Tune;
brother in-law, Willie McNeil; daughter in-law, Penny; sons in-law, Peter
and Will. A host of grandchildren, great and great great children,
nieces, nephews, family and friends.
