Mary Lee Bennett, daughter of Leona Byrd and the late Jack Bennett, was born on January 9, 1940 in Cheraw, South Carolina. she departed this life on October 27, 2008 after a lenghty illness. Mary received her education at Carver High School and was later employed by the City of Baltimore for twenty-five years before retiring. Mary dedicated her life to Jahovah on October 9, 1971 as a Jehovah's witness and served Jehovah faithfully until her death. She will be remembered most for her kindness, willingness and activities in the community. She was well known and loved by everyone. She leaves to mourn; her mother, Leona Byrd; sister, Elizabeth Alston; brother, Marshall Bennett; two daughters, Robin Scott, Arleasha Jaringan; son Randy Bennett; two daughteers-in-law, Diana Bennett, Tracey Bennett; eleven grandchildren, Davon Scott Sr., Ricasrdo Bennett Jr., Tiesha Bennett, Vernard Maple Jr. deceased, Jerome Keith Golphin, Otis Bennett, gerard Bennett, Rasheedah Bennett, Andre D. Bennett, Brandy Bennett and Darshae Mack; eight great-grandchildren; special niece, Lynnette Bennett; three devoted friends, Barbara Gray, Brenda Scofield and Marie burkett; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
