Mary (David) Cain, daughter of the late Thomas David, Sr. and Annie Levy David was born July 8, 1934 in Summerton, South Carolina. The first of six children, one sister Sarah David and four brothers John Wesley, Thomas Jr., Willie and Henry David, all of whom preceded her in death. She met and married Jimmie Cain at an early age, to their union is three children. She received her formal education in the public school system of Clarendon County. She worked for MTA until retirement. God called Mary to rest quietly in her sleep on the morning of August 20th in Future Care Irvington Nursing Home. She leaves to cherish her memories: three children, Willie Mae (William) McDuffie, Ethel Mae (Johnnie) Dawson, and James Albert (Pete) Cain; five grandchildren, Veronica and Nicholas McDuffie, Shaun Dawson, Javius Cain, and Brittany Coles; ten great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
