The life of MARY ELIZABETH COLLINS began on March 1, 1969 when she was born to Ronald Ellis Sr. and Cecelia Ringgold at Johns Hopkins Hospital as Mary Elizabeth Ellis. She attended Baltimore City Public Schools, including Frederick Douglass High School, where she received her high school diploma. After that she attended a culinary arts school where she obtained training for a career as a prep cook. She departed her life October 16, 2013. Mary worked at the Baltimore City Convention Center, until she fell sick in 2011, as a prep cook where everyone was drawn to her outgoing personality. She loved to listen to music, throw big cookouts and have awesome birthday parties. Mary v^as known as "Peanut," she became "Ms. P" and "Auntie" to her Edmondson Avenue'family. She loved them like they were her own, she loved to cook for them and they loved to eat. Her favorite gospel song to listen to and sing was "Going Up> Yonder" and "Take Me To The King." She also loved R. Kelly as well as all kinds of music. Her favorite of all was club music. She loved to go the club with her friends also. She loved all her kids no matter the situation and was an outstanding mother. She leaves cherished memories of her with: her father, Ronald Ellis Sr.; mother, Cecelia Ringgold; stepmother, Eunice Ricks (Buckey); four brothers, Ronald Ellis Jr., Walter Sharp Sr., Eugene Sharp and Clarence Trice; one sister, Wendy Moody; five daughters, Mikesha Collins, Latoya, Valentina, Yvonne and Yvette Foster; one son, Derrick Legins; two adopted daughters, Thaka Witherspoon and Rasheedah Moore; nine grandchildren, Kaleah, Kayden and Cleveland McNeil 4th, Y'Kean Foster, Talae Crudup, Latia and Larry Lee Jr.; two unborn grandsons, Davon Zeigler Jr. and Derrick Legins Jr.; her two favorite cousins, Mchelle Horton and Calvin Ellis Jr.; godsons, Nicholas Cotten and Nitrell Cotten; fiance, John Bail; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by: her two grandmothers, Elizabeth Ellis and Mary Crippins; one sister, Swuanne Trice; one brother, George Ingram; a close friend, Donte Bennette; and her best friend, Tia Fellnan.
