MARY ANN, the daughter of the late Elizabeth Williams and the late Willie Robinson, was born June 30, 1921 in Rock Hill, South Carolina. She came to Baltimore, Maryland the first time in 1927 with her grandparents, and lived with he4r uncle and aunt Deacon Joseph and Deaconess Mary Wilkes. Her grandparents wanted to go back home and they returned to Rock Hill, South Carolina in 1929. She accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age. She was a member of Mt. Prospect Baptist Church in Rock Hill, South Carolina. She sang on the Young People's Choir and was an usher befor coming back to Baltimore, Md. She returned to Baltimore, Md. to live in 1941 and joined Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in September 1941, where she remained a member. She was married to James Garfield Jiles. She attended the West End Grade School and Emmett Scott High School in Rock Hill, S.C. After moving to Baltimore she continued her education and went into training and became a licensed practical nurse in the State of Maryland. She was a member of Maryland Licensed Practical Nurse Association, Inc. and served as a director on the Legislative Action Committee for L.P.N.'s. She also was a member of the of the National Federation of L.P.N.'s until she retired. She worked in nursing for forty-seven years, Jenkins Memorial Hospital, Montebello State Hospital, Childrens Hospital, Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center, Meridian Nursing Center and Jewish Convalescent Center. She was a member of Mt. Lebanon Chapter 27 of Naomi Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Nannie L. Murchison Court #3 Royal and Exalted Order of the Amaranth; and Mattie C. Heath Court, Heroines of Jericho; also a member of AARP. She leaves to cherish her memory: five nieces, Laverne Williams, Lynnette Williams, Patricia Lee, Phyllis Williams and Mary Williams; two nephews, Richard Williams Jr. and Ronald Williams; and a host of great- nieces and- nephews
