Mary McCoy, the daughter of the late Hattie Gaskins, was born on Janury 16, 1916 in Washington, North Carolina. She departed this life on July 17, 2005 after a lengthy illness. She received her education at Douglass High School. Upon completing high school, she went to nursing school. After graduation, she spent much of her life caring for the elderly. She was married to the late Levi McCoy of Atlanta, Georgia. Mary McCoy leaves to mourn: her nephew, Raymond Linear and his wife, Mildred; two-nieces, Martha Linear Johnson and Charise Linear; a host of of friends and relatives by marriage. A special thanks to Mrs. Ingrid Lewis and staff including; Louise, Evelyn, Rita and Roslyn, who were very kind and understanding to her.
