Mary G. McKoy, daughter of the Hattie McKoy and Louis Smith along with Moses McKoy, was born on March 17, 1963 in Pinkhill, North Carolina. On Monday, Febrary 9, 2009, God saw fit to pluck one of His flowers from the garden. Mary, also known as "Niecy" Cootiegal" or "Grandma,"" received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System. After high school she completed her degree in crimial Justice at Sojourner-Douglas college in 1996. for the past twenty-two years she has worked assisting the head security at Maryland General Hospital. Mary often enjoyed gardening, working out, dancing, singing and spending time with her grandchildren and family. There was never a weekend that went by where Mary could not be found entertaining family and friends. All she encountered were constantly encouraged and inspired by her words of wisdom. Mary was a listening ear who always took time to share and offer loving advice to others. If you met her, you immediately because a member of the family. Mary will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived bu two children, Jameca Hill and Louis Hill; four siblings, Gail, Binko, Karen Daughtry, Cynthia Strickland Kenneth and Louis Smith; four grandchildren, Jaquina Hill, Ali Johnson Jr., Louis Hill IV, and Desiree' Hill; nieces and nephews, Felecia McKoy, Uprincia McKoy, Joey Binko, Tamika Smith, Kenneth Strickland Jr., KeShaun, and Anisha Smith; a devoted freind, Linwood Scott; and a host of additional nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
