Our Mother Mary C. Patterson was called home to meet Jesus on March 19, 2015. While here on earth she endured many challenges, disappointments and grievances through out her life. But nevertheless it made her a strong woman while walking in the steps of the Lord. Mary C. Patterson twice married, when those marriages came to an end, she raised 5 wonderful children on her own. Life was not easy for her, however she managed whatever task put upon her. God gave her the strength to move on. While God watched He kept her children along with her safe. Anyone that crossed the path of this woman of wisdom felt the love and giving hand she was. Mother resided in Baltimore all her life. Mom received her education here in Baltimore, Maryland, as she matured she went back to school and attended Dunbar High School, and she said "I can do this" and she graduated on June 12, 1977. As she aged gracefully people loved her no matter what situation they were in. People that didn't know her would ask, "how are you." Many people called her Mom, that shows how she touched people hearts in her travels. Mom loved clothes and shoes, each time she left the house God would say that's my child and we would say that's our Mom. Mom was like a Shepard while gathering her sheep she kept moving in the light of the Lord. Mrs. Patterson health began to diminished, she refused any type of aide, she always said! can do this. No matter how slow her steps became she had a guardian angel beside her . . Mother had taken care of her home going 7 years ago and kept it simple. Her favorite song was "His Eyes Are On the Sparrow". Our diamond has left us, on her way home. Mom we want to say thank you, now you would be united with our youngest brother and son. From all your friends and family we love you. Your Children Love You More, Glory To God Memorial Service Joseph H. Brown Jr. Funeral Home
