A Time to Be Born
To everything there is a season, winter was the season and on the twenty-
first day of February, in the year of 1935, Mary Louise Thompson was born
to the late James and Bettie Thompson in Baltimore, Maryland.
A Time for Education
Mary received her education in the Baltimore City School System.
A Time for Work
After high school, Mary worked as a nanny and also did housekeeping.
She was later employed at Maryland National Bank as a Data Entry Clerk.
She eventually went on to accomplish her lifelong dream of working for the
Federal Government. She held the position of Clerk for the Social Security
Administration. There she remained a loyal employee until her retirement
in 1999.
A Time for Recreation
Mary, who's grandson Rossie affectionately nicknamed
"Little Old Lady",
attended Christ Temple Church for several years. While there she was a
member of the
"
Radio Choir
"
.
There she inherited another nickname,
"
Big
Mary
".
She was well known for her macaroni and cheese and potato salad.
Mary loved to travel and play the lottery. She especially loved to read
mystery novels by Mary Higgins. Whenever you saw Mary, she had a
smile and was happy.
A Time To Depart
On Thursday, December 29, 2016, after a lengthy illness, Mary departed
this life.
