MELVIN C. BOMAR, SR., affectionately known as "Bo", was born on July 26, 1955. He was the s" child to the late Curtis C. Bomar, Sr. and Genova Suber Bomar. He was called horne to be with the Lord on June 27, 2017.

Melvin was educated in the Baltimore City Public Schools System. He graduated from Baltimore City College High School and the Baltimore City Community College.

Melvin gave 20 years of faithful service to the Army National Guard from which he was honorably discharged. He was employed by the Baltimore City Department of Transportation as a Public Works Inspector I, TEC Division until his death.

Melvin enjoyed spending time with his wife and family. He was a simple man, but enjoyed a good cigar and especially enjoyed playing basketball and football with his two grandsons Melvin and Kamel.

Years of friendship turned into a life of love and happiness. On August 10, 2000, Melvin married the love of his life Cynthia.

His fond memories will continue to live on in the hearts of his loving wife, Cynthia; his son, Melvin, Jr.; his two daughters, Chantel and Raven; two grandsons, Melvin and Kamel; three brothers, Curtis C. Bomar, Jr. (Bernadette), Robert L. Bomar (Viola), and Theodore C. Bomar; two sisters, Sandra Bomar-Moody and Wanda Bomar-Johnson; seven brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; eighteen nieces; 8 nephews; 10 great nieces; 3 great nephews and two great nieces; Melvin also had a longtime friend, Gerald Foster and was the God-father to Michael Anderson, along with a host of other relatives and friends
