Melvin Floyd age, 60, died peacefully at his home December 31, 2016. The son of Dora Mae Floyd and the late Jarvis Floyd was born August 28, 1956 in Baltimore where he was educated in the public school system.

Melvin was married to the late Debora Lynn Floyd, from this union came two (2) children. He later enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served his country, from 1975-1980.

Melvin was a very quiet man who loved karate films and old school music. He was preceded in death by his father, his wife; sister, Ally Ann Coclough and brothers, Danny and Thurman Floyd.

Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Dora; (2) children, Geon T. Floyd and Tanisha O. Sanders; son-in-law, Clayton Sanders; (2) grandchildren, Geon Jr. and Amani M. Floyd; sister, Doretha Foster; brothers, Jarvis "Boe", Richard Lee, Curtis and Howard Floyd as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
