Melvin N. Miles, Sr., known to his family and friends as ''Bubby'' is the son of George and Annie Miles. He was born on August 29, 1931, and deparated this life on November 15, 2007. Bubby was employed at Koppers Baltimore Plant. In 1955 Bubby was employed by the Bethlehem Steel Company and worked there until he retired in 1987 when he suffered from a brain aueurysm. He married the former Ernestine Jefferson, and out of this union five children were born, Melvin, Dwight, Linda, Portia deceased, and Brian. Bubby was a wonderful person, who made friends wherever he went. He will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew him. He was a good friend and devoted family man. He was a loving husband and caring father. His life was devoted to providing for his family. Melvin Bubby N. Miles, Sr. leaves to mourn: his wife, Ernestine Miles, three sons, Melvin N. Miles, Jr., Dr. Dwight E. Miles, Brian Miles; one daughter, Linda Miles; three sisters, Hattie Parham, Pauline Miles, Shirley James; one brother, Walter Henry Miles; two daughters-in-law, Cathleen Miles and Kathleen Miles; seven grandchildren, Nichele, Melvin III, Terrance, Jarrett, Jermaine, David, Erin; nine great grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives.
