Obituary

BIRTH

Melvin Randolph Taylor entered this world on January 1,1934. He was the youngest son Of12 children born to the late Edmond and Martha Taylor. Melvin accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age.

LIFE

Melvin attended Rocky Mount Elementary School and graduated from Dinwiddie High School in Virginia. He eventually moved to Baltimore, Maryland.

Melvin met the" Love of his Life" Lois J. Graves, whom he married on February 3,1954 in Baltimore, Maryland. From this union 6 wonderful children were born.

Melvin was employed with Bethlehem Steel, Sparrows Point. He retired after 35 years of service. He also worked as a taxi cab driver part time. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Lois, two sons Randy and Bryant, grandson Donta Taylor and granddaughter Natasha Taylor.

DEATH

On the morning of Thursday, April 27, 2017 at his home on 2648 Oswego Avenue, God saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb;

so he greatly closed Melvin's loving eyes and whispered" Sweet Peace be Thine."

LEGACY

Melvin leaves to carry on his legacy, 5 children Denise (Damon), Deborah, Wanda, Joyce, Tisha (Raymond) all of Baltimore, Maryland. 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter Teigen; two special god-daughters Sheneia Hunter and Gina Sanders. Two sisters Mary T. Bonner (Micey) of Petersburg, VA and Marion Hayes of Mechanicsville, VA. One Brother Henry (Geraldine) Taylor of Baltimore, MD. Six sisters in law, Bertina Taylor, Petersburg, VA, Barbara (Charlie) Griffin of New Jersey, Bonnie Graves, Margaret Graves, Pamela Dennis, Kim (Steve) Armstrong, one Brother in law Robert Graves all of Baltimore, MD and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, family and friends. The Neighborhood of Oswego Avenue will truly miss his loving heart and they desire to always keep the block clean.
