Obituary

Melvin Calvin Young, son of the late Corine McNeal Hawkins & Willie Davis Young was born on May I" 1954 in Halifax, North Carolina . Then suddenly on September 13th 2016 Melvin was called home due to natura l causes. Melvin was a very private, kind hearted and generous man . He loved his family and the dogs he cared for over a lifetime.

Growing up, Melvin attended Baltimore City public Schools; which later led to him joining Job Corps. From there he followed his older brother Willie Thomas Young into the Armed Forces in June of 1972 . He served in the United States Navy until February of 1974 . Afterwards, Melvin contributed to various communities within the city of Baltimore; volunteering his time and efforts throughout the remaining days of his life Melvin had a passion for Martial Arts, and tailoring .

Melvin leaves to mourn his beloved brother; Willie T Young his sister in law Letty Young of Columbus, Georgia . From Willie's blessing, he also leaves an abundance of nieces and nephews to mourn from Baltimore, Florida, as well as Georgia. In no particular order they include; Willie ' s son Toot (his daughter Christin), his daughter Kimarka with her husband Zachary and their daughters (Narshaye and Kamaria), and his son Demek'o Erickson of Jacksonville, Florida .

Willie's blessings also include his sons Anthony Wilson, Timothy Wilson and his daughter Yolanda Harvell of Baltimore, MD . Last but no least; Willie & Letty's daughters Sherico, Kenyada, and son Ceyentae of Georgia from which they currently reside. His aunt Daisy and Jimmy Wilson of SC; Aunt Susan Taylor of Va.; Aunt Mary Goodman of Pa.; his uncle Julius and Betty Young ofNJ Willie would like to acknowledge his sisters Margaret, Vivian, Ruby, and Jeanette; and his brothers Arthur, Edward, late brother Bo and late brother Larry. The Young Family also gives special thanks to Willie's best friends; William Randall IlL Skip, Johnny Watts and FMX family for the love and support they've given throughout these trying times.

As well as any pertinent friends; acquaintances and business partners that have contributed to the joy, happiness, and care of our dearly departed love one - Melvin Calvin Young.
