IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Merle C.
Eades
November 21, 1944 – May 27, 2020
Merle Clareese Eades;beloved daughter of the late Alden Dorsey and the late Gloria Dorsey was born on November 21, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland. God called Merle home to glory on May 27, 2020.
Merleaccepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior at a young age. As a small child, Merle would listen to bible stories with her grandmother igniting her passion for the Bible, faith, and studies. Throughout her life Merle would read, quote, and study the Bible. If one would ask "How are you?" humbly she would reply "By the grace of God, I am doing just fine."
Merlewas educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. Shortly after her high school graduation from Douglass High School she married the late James "Jimmy" Eades. From that unionthey welcomed two children, Ronald Eades and Taitia Eades. Merle was a dedicated nurse for over 40 years, knownby her patients as the "Praying Nurse".
Merlewas a life time member of St. Jude's Catholic Church. She also joined Homestead UnitedMethodist Church, serving on the adult gospel choirs and later becoming a Certified Lay Speaker. As a member of United Baptist Church, under the leadership of Dr. Carl J. Solomon she deepened her relationship with the Lord by attending Bible and Discipleship Classes. She also was a faithful bible study student under Dr. Lamont Jefferson at LOTH Ministries.
Merlewas the family prayer warrior. When in doubt call Merle, in need of a prayer call Merle, and in need of spiritual uplift call Merle. Not only would she quietly and privately say a prayer she would elegantly write them.
Merlehome was her sanctuary. Everything was neat, organized, and pressed. She enjoyed watching her favorites on television such as intervention shows, the British Network, TBN and old school classic movies. She was an avid reader who enjoyed all types of literature. Merle loved shopping with her sisters followed by conversation, laughter and dining at Golden Corral. She was known for having a great sense of humor, being quick witted and a no nonsense attitude.
Merlewas not fearful of departing this life to exist anew. She said, "I have no fearof going into a city where the sun and moon is not the light but the Lamb is its lamp. To be reunited with loved ones and to worship God in the beauty of his holiness is an honor and a reason to rejoice". Proceeding her to eternal glory is her sister Carolyn; brother's Melvin and Anthony.
Merleleaves to cherish her memory: her loving children, Ronald Eades and Taitia Eades; son in law Kevin Blake; brother Ronald Dorsey; sisters Claudia Brothers and Mary Dorsey; In-laws Dorothy Dorsey and James Brothers; grandchildren Christopher, Dwayne wife (Darlene), Kaylah and Kiani husband (Tommy); great grandchildren Jae, Adam, JD and Cassandra; and a host of other relatives & friends.
