Mertie Joe Jubilee, daughter ofthe late Evangelist Beatrice Hinton was
born May 21, 1952 in Baltimore, Maryland.

Mertie received her education in the Baltimore City Public School
system where she received her high school diploma from Dunbar Senior
High School. After graduating Mertie went on to further her education
at a Baltimore City Nursing School, it was there she received her
certification in CNA/GNA. Her passion as a nursing assistant soon led her
from nursing home facilities to private duty nursing services. Mertie was
more recently employed at Medstar Union Memorial Hospital where
she later retired.

Although "Tee" as she was often called, had several hobbies she
enjoyed soulful music, cooking, a good party (in her youth), spending
time with family and friends, but most importantly spending time with
her grandchildren.

Mertie made numerous friends where ever she went, Tee would give
you the shirt off her back and wouldn't think twice about it. She

welcomed everyone with open arms and a hot meal. Mertie would say,
"it doesn't cost much to feed someone, never refuse anyone a meaL"
She loved feeding her friends and family and her many neighborhood
kids. Mertie eventually became mama Mertie to her children's friends

and the neighborhood children. Her God giving light shined through her
human flesh and she was able to connect and help many people.

Mertie joins her mother Beatrice Hinton and her nine brothers and
sisters. She leaves to cherish her memories with her two daughters

Christen Ford (Chris) and Shaquetta Green (Quetta) her son in law Kirk
Jones, four grandchildren Kaiseim Jones (Kai), Syniah Dorsey (Niah),

Kennedi Jones (Ken), and Karson Jones (Jupe), Niece Kentenette
Jones (Nette), one living nephew Shawntae Dupree (Santiago),

and a host of great and great-great nephews, great and great-great

nieces, cousins and many other relatives and friends.
