Michael Anthony Mitchell, the son of Claude Lee Mitchell and the late Hortense Bass Mitchell, was born on October 7, 1959 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on September 20, 2012 after a lengthy illness. Michael, who was affectionately known by everyone as Mike, attended Baltimore City Public Schools. He worked numerous jobs, but his last job was with Waverly Terrace apartments as a Maintenance Technician for fifteen years. He loved his job. Mike was a quiet and meek person, and he always had a smile on his face. His hobbies were fishing and listening to his oldies and goodies and he loved washing his car. Mike and Harriet were united on March 4, 1995, and out of this union one son Michael Anthony Mitchell, Jr. He joined Ebenezer A.M.E. church in September of 2011 where he accepted Jesus Christ as hi Lord and Savior. He was always willing to help anybody who he came in contact with. Those who preceded him in death are three brothers, Claude Jr., Charles and Ronald; sister, Deborah; nephews, Csrl and Floyd Jr., and favorite cousin, Anthony Mitchell. Michael is survived by; his loving, devoted wife, Harriet; son Michael A. Mitchell, Jr.; stepson Antwan, stepdaughter, Sarahia; and three grandchildren, Sharif, Jasmine and Jaiden; his father, Claude Mitchell, Sr., sister Claudette Kevin; five brothers, Gregory Ann, Floyd, Lewis, Karl Shirley, Gary; father-in-law, Harry Eady; aunt, Mary Ayers; sisters-in-law, Hattie Eady and Jere Eady; brother-in-law, Harrison Rosalyn; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including special friends, Jerome Reed and Herb.
