IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael A.
Norwood,
March 11, 1980 – December 27, 2016
Michael Andrew Norwood, Jr. was born on March 11, 1980 in Baltimore, Maryland to Barbara Fowlkes-Norwood and the late Michael Norwood, Sr. On Tuesday, December 27,2016 Heaven opened it's gates and Michael Andrew Norwood, Jr. was called home for an eternal life of peace, free of sorrow and pain. God took command and quickly closed his tired weary eyes. Andrew received his education in the Baltimore City Public School system and later attended the Maryland Military Youth Corps Program in Aberdeen, Maryland. Drew, as he was affectionately known, was admired for his caring and helping ways. Especially, in caring for his mother and father. He was very good with his hands always doing home improvement projects, fixing cars, electrical work, and other tasks. If he couldn't fix it, he would surely try or find someone to help him. He loved God and his family. Drew accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior at an early age. He loved to cook for his family and friends, especially at the family cook-outs and he enjoyed being the DJ as well.
Drew loved to talk especially with his neighbor Mr. Mike, sitting on the porch with his twin brother Carl, and joking with his brother Michael. Drew could make you smile even during serious situations. He was a true prankster and jokester. He would call you just to see how you were feeling or to say "hi" or just to crack a joke about you then hang up. Drew met and became engaged to Alona Johnson. He was a very proud father and had a deep love for all his chil- dren. They meant the world to him. Spending time with his children was always a top priority. He and Alona would take the kids out to dinner, movies, parks, and bike riding. Drew would play video games with his sons and have talks with his girls, take them shopping and even styling his daughters hair. Drew was preceded in death by his father Michael A. Norwood, Sr.; Grandmother Geraldine McPhaul; Aunt Yolanda Fields; and cousin Phyllis Jackson. Drew leaves to cherish his life and memories: a loving and caring mother Barbara Fowlkes-Norwood; Fiance Alona Johnson; 2 Brothers, Michael G. (Tina) Fowlkes and Carl H. (Shanna) Norwood III; 2 daughters, Monique and Miyah; 3 sons, Mi'khai, Miguel, and Michah; Step-son Jameel; Aunt Doretha (Bobby) Headen; 7 uncles, Alphonzo (Gloria) Fowlkes, Jr., Clayton (Patricia) Price, Antonio (Sherrin) Fowlkes, Tyrone (Veronica) Fowlkes, Stanley Faison, Ronald Ward, and Uncle Frank; His extended loving Johnson Family; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
