IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael Brian
Johnson
December 20, 1956 – February 5, 2019
Michael Brian Johnson,
62, the loving son of Austin Johnson and
the late Doris Johnson, was born December 20, 1956, in Baltimore,
Maryland. The Lord called him home on February 5, 2019, after a
lengthy illness. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at
an early age and rededicated his life in March of 1998.
Michael attended North Arundel High School where he graduated in
1974. He became employed at Westinghouse, now Northrop Grumman,
for thirty-plus years as a security officer.
Michael was married to Ellen Johnson until 2002. From this union,
they had two children, Jessica and Justin. Ellen helped take care
of him in his last days.
Michael loved the simple things in life: sports, music, and television.
He enjoyed going to Atlantic City and the farmer's market at Cowtown
in New Jersey. He had a passion for barbequing and loved sharing
these skills at friend and family gatherings. But more than
anything else, Michael loved his family. He was especially proud of his
grandchildren.The times they spent together were comical, but
priceless more than anything.
Michael is survived by his loving children, Jessica Johnson and Justin
Johnson; his father, Austin Johnson; his brother, Mark Johnson; five
grandchildren, Joshua Pearson, Jaylen Gamble, Kaleb Gamble, Jayce
Johnson and Kayden Johnson; daughter-in-law, Timecia Johnson;
nephew, Jarrett Johnson; nieces, Jayla Mensah and Kendal Mensah;
sisters-in-law, Wanda Holley- Coleman and Iris Johnson; longtime
friend and confidante, Rodney Tyler; many aunts, uncles, cousins,
and extended family and friends.
