Michael Butler , son of Ruth Elizabeth Butler and Byron Alphonso Moore was born on May 18, 1962 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on March 11, 2017 after a brief illness.

Mike was educated in the Baltimore City Public Schools and upon leaving school he worked in the Construction Industry. Mike was very skilled in Home Improvement and was an outstanding house painter.

When Mike was a very young child he attended St. Marks Nursery School with his siblings, aunts and uncles because they were all around the same age. He eagerly waved goodbye to his Mom and hopped in the red station wagon for the drive to school. He loved learning but loved recess more.

Mike made numerous friends everywhere he went. To his family and friends he was affectionately known as "Mike B." Mike especially enjoyed playing cards, sometimes into the wee hours of the morning. He loved sports with basketball being a favorite. Mike reveled in the outdoors, particularly during the summer. He loved good food and considered himself "Master of the Grill".

Mike's family time was very important to him. He enjoyed traveling and visited Disney World several times with the family. He loved family time and was the life of the party. His sense of duty towards his family was always his first and last thought.

Mike leaves to mourn: his life partner, Marrina; children, Bria, Merron and step-daughter, Nicole; his mother, Ruth; his father, Byron; his siblings, Debora, Barbara, Byron and Darcel; brother-in-law, Clarence; four aunts, three uncles, numerous first and second generations of nieces, nephews and cousins.
