Michael Lynn Edmonds I., second son was born on June 21, 1959 to the late George
W. Edmonds Sr., and Ruth (Street) Edmonds. On December 28, 2016 Michael entered
God's glory.

He received his Christian life at an early age and was baptized by Robin Moses Williams
at Zion Baptist Church after finishing high school at Southwestern High in 1977.

Michael married Vera Lenise Watson, from this union Michael Lynn Edmonds and Lenise
Edmonds were born into the family.

Michael was gainfully employed as a electrician, and worked at Diecraft Company for
numerous years. Later, Michael was interested in Real Estate where he received his real
estate license with Exit Spivey Professional Realty Co., where he served as an agent for
awhile. But Michael's greatest passion was cooking, he became a chef at The Champaign
Ball Room where he worked for numerous years. In 2016 Michael worked part time for
Pizza Hut until his death. No matter what job Michael took on he was loved by his
co-workers.

Michael was a proven provider. A dependable hardworking husband, father, brother and
friend. An all around good person with a giving heart. He loved his family and showed it
in everything he did. He loved watching the football games with his son on Sundays, chess
with his friends, fishing, and was a "Master Chef' on the grill. Michael loved watching his
grandson Damon play football, basketball and baseball. Michael loved being around his
family and friends. He was a talkative person with a great sense of humor, he always
encouraged his children and grandchildren to strive to be better.

On April 24, 2004 Michael met Brenda Walker. They were married April 24, 2009, with
this union three daughters were joined into the family; then two families were blended into
one.

Michael leaves to cherish: his devoted, loving wife, Brenda Edmonds; two sons, Michael
L. Edmonds II (Diamond/wife), Ray Sampson, along with his daughter, Lenise Edmonds
(who preceded him in death); 3 step daughters, Teonda Nelson, Renea Walker, and
Shawnda Walker; 2 brothers, George Edmonds Jr. (Shante/fiance) and Bryan Edmonds
(Tracy/fiance); sister, Karen Randall (Greg); mother-in-law, Mrs. Grace Walker; 4 sisters-
in-law, Frances A. Walker, Rosa L. Walker, Alberta Briggs and Cheryl A. Walker; 3
brothers-in-law, Gregg Randall, Duane A. Walker, and Kauna (Harold) Walker; 14 grand-
children, Michael III, Kennedy, Delilah, Aurbree, Diara, Diamonte, Dimonick, Serenity,
Ronnie, Damon, Zinay, Shorice, Gerard and Autumn; godson, Eric Duppins; nieces,
Nicole, Deana, Angel; great niece, Tayania; great great nieces, Khamyni and A'yonna;
nephews, Lamont (Charonne/wife), Dimonick, Jason; great nephews, Arnell, Christian,
Lamontre, Collin, Kamerin, Karon; god brother, Tootie (who proceeded him in death) and
other family and friends.
