IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael Dennis
Hammond
April 30, 1950 – March 26, 2022
Michael Dennis Hammond son of late John and Ethel Hammond
Was born on April 30, 1950 in Baltimore Maryland. He departed
this life surrounded by his loved ones on March 26, 2022. GOD
called his son home, his work has been done.
He received his education in the Baltimore City Public Schools
System. After High School, he gained employment at Bethlehem
Steel and became a Welder. He mastered his new found trade and
loved the skills and workmanship of his profession. He later went on
to create his own business in moving and hauling. He retired from
Polyseal Corporation.
Michael maintained his dignity and independence as a respectful and
loving person. Either you loved him or you didn't. You knew just
what was on his mind and exactly what he thought. He was also
known by many as "What Not and Do" and for his famous greens
that you could make sandwiches out of. He was an amazing
husband, father, brother and son. He was married for over fifty years
to a loving and devoted wife, Barbara Hammond. Iis wife was his
best friend through trials and tribulations, she always stood by his
side. He knew and accepted Christ as his Maker and Master. Even
though he did not attend church as regular as he should have, he had
a respect and a love for GOD.
Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Hammond;
parents, Ethel Mae Hammond and John Hammond; two brothers,
Ronnie Hammond and Wilbert Hammond; two brothers-in-law,
Rudolph Hutton and Charles Hutton; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn
Hutton and Barbara Hammond.
Michael leaves to cherish his memory: three children, Michael
Davis, Melvin Hammond and Michelle Leggette; one son in law,
Winston Leggette; two daughters-in-law, Violet Hammond and Lisa
Davis; five grandchildren, Ashley Hammond, Shantel Hammond,
Michael Davis, Joshua Leggette and Lyric Leggette; four great
grandchildren, Darien Fulton, Dallas Fulton, Peyton Davis and
Michael Davis; two sisters, Helena Hammond and Annette
Hammond; one brother: Carl Hammond; two sisters-in-law, Shaun
Hutton and Delores Hammond; a special brother-in-law, Melvin
Hutton; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He made numerous friends wherever he went and will be sincerely missed by everyone
