Saturday, January 1, 2011 was a joyful day in Heaven, for thar day God in His Mighty and Infinite Wisdom call one of His most humble servants, Michael Taylor home to rest. Michael Taylor, son of Barbara Taylor and the late Michael B. Hughes, was born on March 19, 1962 in Baltimore, Maryland. Michael received his education in the Baltimmore City Public School System. Michael's very first job was at the Village of Cross Keys, then at the Hyatt Regency Hotel as an Assistant Cook. He later worked at Fish Laundry, then went on to work at the Belvedere Towers. He also worked at Bon Secour Hospital for many years as a Security Guard, and the Marriott Hotel part-time. He retired from Bon Secour Hospital, but worked for Harbor Hospital until his death. Michael was an avid sports fan and excelled in Basketball. Wherevr there was a basketball court you'd find Mike playing. Michael and his brother attended a basketball camp for CCB in 1974, 1975 and 1976. There he received awards for Most Valuable Player. Michael was truly the joy of his mother's life and made her proud to be his mother. Michael's winning smile and good made him a very likeable guy and attracted a lot of friends. He met the late Cheris Bowie in 1982 and of this union a daughter Deshira was born. Michael leaves to cherish his memory; his mother, Barbara Taylor; dqughter, Deshira Taylor; two brothers, Maurice Montier and Michael B. Hughs; a beloves and dear friend, Shirley Jenkins; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
