Once upon a time, on November 4, 2012 mommy Kiara Janelle Sampson & daddy Arnold Gilford Carter
Jr. became the blessed recipients of a precious gift whom we all came to know as: The Princess ~
"Mikia Junelle Carter".

On a chilly day in November @ 10: 13am a baby girl "Mikia" was born weighing 6 pounds and 13 ounces and her mommy and daddy named her proudly "Mikia". Our baby Mikia blossomed into a beautiful joyous earth angel, full of laughter and playful joy. Th?is precious Princess learned to walk at an early age and took her first steps at 11 months old and shortly thereafter, uttered her very first words as she awakened to the world around her.

Like all Princess's,. Mikia loved the color pink and all things frilly as most "girly-girls" do. Little Princess Mikia loved playing dress-up and changing her clothes sometimes up to 4 times a day. Mikia loved going to the playground and especially loved the swing with the red seat and made sure her daddy put her only on the red seat always. Mikia loved to play beauty shop with her cousin and fellow princess Brianna. If Princess Mikia had it her way - she would eat french fries & potato chips every single day while watching her favorite movie "Frozen".

As our story unfolds, know that being the little sister was NOT on Mikia's agenda! She thought she was the big sister to her brother Jeremiah. Mikia was known to her family as "Little Miss Independent" because she was fiercely independent and tried to do everything by herself. Often times - this baby would tell you and let you know that "I got it" as this was one of her famous quotes meaning - I'm a big girl and needs- no help! She loved and adored her parents and especially her devoted grandma Valerie - endlessly. Mikia told her loved ones that one day she was going to take care of them. This she did!

As the heavens open and the music plays, know that Little Princess Mikia is comforted and playing eternally with the angels laughing in joy and happiness that we on earth don't fully understand. The memory of Baby Mikia's voice and spicy earthy spirit will live on forever - so hold on and cherish the wonderful memories that will last in our minds forever. Never think of our Princess as'gone away - but living right here in our hearts each and every day. This divine baby has blessed us all with the joy of her presence here on earth for the 3 years with us but now she lives forever in our hearts and minds. We thank the Creator for the time he gave us Baby Mikia for we will all meet her again. An angel holds Mikia's hand now where there is no pain, no tears and no sorrow for Mikia lives and plays where heaven's princesses stay. Remember God did not take Mikia from us - He only took her hand. Mikia will be sadly missed by her loving parents Kiara Sampson & Arnold Carter Jr.; her brothers; Jeremiah, Malik, Marquese, Maurice and Arnold; and her sister, Mikiba.; her loving and devoted grandma Valerie Sampson & Anthony Brown.
