Obituary

Milred V. McCain, daughter of the late Henry Clay Austin and Virginia mae Shepard-Austin, was born in buckingham County, Virginia. She departed thi life on May 18, 2009 after about of illness. She received her education in Buckingham County School System. She was employed for many years as a care provider. She married Clyde McCain, and one daughter was born, Gladys Marie Thomas. Milred loved the lord, and the house become the church when family gathered. She was a missionary for the Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Church and New Advercinia Temple. Her love for God's House was efficient as sh played the piano and sang in the choir. She was also an original member of the Redeem Tabernacle of the Living God, she held this appointment faithfully for twenty-four years until illness prevented. Milred was Mama to some, Aunt Mill to some and Pee-Wee to others, but loved by all and will be truly missed. She leaves to mourn:her daughter, Gladys M.Thomas;two sisters, Hattie Hundley and Helen Baldwin;three grandchildren, Sandra Thomas, Grady Thomas Jr. and Jimmy Harkless; Granddaughter-in-law, Cyntia Thomas;three sister-in-law, seventeen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other relative and friends.
