IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mildred Ann
Puryear
May 3, 1949 – May 16, 2022
Mildred Ann Puryear was
born May 3, 1949 to the
late Charlie and Susie
Muse in Tappahannock,
Essex County, VA. Our
Heavenly Father called her
home to take her rest on
Monday, May 16, 2022.
Mildred was preceded in
death by her sons Kenneth
& Lamont, her two sisters.
Barbara-Jean & Mary-Ruth,
and her grandson
Damonte. Mildred, affectionately
known as Mil was educated
in the Millers Tavern
County Public School
System.
She later relocated to Baltimore, MD in spring of 1975 where she
met and later married Fred Puryear in 1980. Mildred and Fred
worked hard and successfully formed their trucking company, F&M
Puryear Transportation Inc.
Receiving mass amounts of awards & certificates from the school
systems, Mildred was a proud participant in helping all kids, but
mainly her granddaughter, Shawndra. She was loved by everyone
and was very passionate when it came to helping others, she was
the greatest.
Mildred was always hosting holidays and cookouts at her home. As
long as good music was playing, she was alright, especially Aretha
Franklin. She loved food, shopping and most of all, spending time
with her family. Mildred was the epitome of a woman. Her hair and
nails were always laid! She loved her a red lip! She was a true diva!
Mildred leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband, Freddie
Puryear, her loving and devoted daughter Melissa Muse; Kellie
