Mildred Deloris Skeens, daughter of the late Leonard and Olive Whye, was

called Mildred to rest.

Mildred received her education in the Baltimore City Public Schools
System. After high school she attended Coppin State University and was a
loyal employee at the Mount Washington Children's Hospital until she
retired.

Mildred married the late Daniel Skeens Jr. on September 6, 1963 and from
that union four children were born, Denotta, Thelonius, Cherlonda, and

faithful member of the Oak Street A. M. E. Church for more than thirty
years. She was a mother and a means of support to her west Baltimore
community. Her favorite past time was spending time with family, loved
ones, and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her brother, Gilbert Whye; her beloved
cousin/sister, Vivian Carter; four children, Denotta, Thelonius (Cynthia-
wife), Cherlonda (James -fiance), and Kareem (Keisha - fiance); seven
grandchildren, Danika, Shannika, Latia, Lakee, Chaonte, Christopher, and
Victor; her extended children, Darlene Scott and Gregory Terry; two sister
