Mongure Genoa Ali, son of Mongure and Estelle Ali,, was born on August 12, 1935 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life after a very lengthy illness on March 5, 2015. Mongure was the youngest of the three children and was preceded in death by his sister and his brother. Mongure received his education at Carver High School in Baltimore City. He met the love of his life, Mary and after a six year courtship they were married. Together they raised their son, Gregory. Mongure and Mary shared a wonderful life together for forty-eight years until her death in 2010. Mongure became employed by the Housing Authority of Baltimore City and after years of dedication he was promotedfrom painter to Manger of the Painting Department before retiring in 2000. Mongure cherished and enjoyed traveling as well as collecting antiques with his wife for many years. He also enjoyed the times he spent with his family and friends. Mongure appreciated and enjoyed the time spent with his nephew and best friend Byron Pitts who was there for him until the end. Mongure dedicated his life to Jehovah many years ago. Through many prayers and relying on Jehovah kept his faith strong through his illness. Mongure is survived by his son, Gregory; three grandchildren, Tonika, Temppest and Kendrea; three great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
