Mother Louise Baynard was born September 16, 1942, in Memphis, TN. She was the eighth of 9 children born to the late John Robert Shaw and Louise Farley Shaw. She also had an older sister from her father's previous marriage.
Louise was educated in the Blytheville Public School System and graduated from Richard B. Harrison High School in 1961. While at Harrison, she was a member of the debate team, a member of the theater arts production team, a majorette with the marching band, and homecoming queen. Outside of school she was an activist and lifetime member of the NAACP. She also was a young adult missionary and loved volunteering at the Keith Acres Nursing Home.
After graduating high school Louise moved to New York City for work until she married Edward Ronald Baynard on November 3, 1963. From their union, they had three children, Adrain, Letitia (Tish), and Edward, Jr. Louise and Eddie, she affectionally called him, were married nearly 54 years until her beloved's transition.
After a brief illness, she transitioned from labor to reward on Friday, August 23rd at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
