Mozel was born on October 20th, 1933 in Monroe, North Carolina, the son of Mozel Blakney and Carolina Moore a.k.a. Callie. Callie later married D.B. Howie & the family relocated to Towson, Md. along with Mozel's little sister Dorothy "Dot". Mozel attended Carver public school returned home he found employment at Bethlehem Steel. He remained there until retiring. He joined Cornerstone Baptist Church as a young adult and enjoyed visiting many churches in the Baltimore Metropolitan area. Mo was married previously to Nancy Stewart. From this union there were two children, Jammi Howie and Mozel Howie deceased. He found love again with Annie Marie Wiley, They were joined in marriage on July 23, 1994 and this union remained until death. Mozel leaves to mourn his wife, Annie Marie, daughters, Sharon Dorsey and Jammie Howie; step-sons Andre Scott and Cordell Scott: sister, Dorothy Smith; brother-in-law Henry Moore; sister-in-law Carolyn Scruggs; grandaughter, Riley Mozelle Wright and Tatum Jolie Wright; niece Deborah Smith; great niece Dajia Wilson, deocted friends, Benjamin Gardner And Alicia Lewis as well as a host of others friends and relatives.
