Nathaniel B. Thomas "Donnie", the son of the late Simon Odell and Milderd Catherine Thomas, was born on July 28, 1934, and raised in West Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on the morning of April 22, 2009, after a brief illness. Donnie attended Baltimore City Public Schools. He excelled in sports, music and art. It is often remarked that donnie's talents on the baseball feild could have landed him in the pros had time been different. he played all of the positions on feild, as well as on a number of championship softball teams, earnig accolades, although he rarely spoke about them. Teams like Junior Lucky Strike, Crown, Crok &Seal, NOrthwestern Stars and Club Paris allowed him to excel and to be a winner. As a boy life , unrehearsed, spontaneous, and unique just like his people. He married Marlene, with whom a daughter, Janicia and three sons, Nathatniel, downs he experienced in his life.
