Nathaniel Witherspoon, also known as "apoon" or wolfa," son of the late Lucille Lincoln and David Witherspoon, was born on April 2, 1933 in Lynchburg, south carolina. He departed this life on January 11, 2010, after a brief illness. He received his education from the public school systems and became a certified auto mechanic. He then jioned the U.S. Army in the 1950s, and later became employed by Bethlehem Steel where he remained for over thirty years. He married the former Juanita Wyche who he loved with all his heart and soul; and out of this union they had five kids Glenn, Steven, Derrick, Linda and Terrance. Spoon was a man of many words. He was kind, loving "and he was tough,"" but everyone loved him. He made numerous friends wherever he went from East, West to south Baltimore. He will be sincerely missed. Nathaniel was preceded in death by his loving wife Juanita Witherspoon and his son Steven Witherspoon. He leaves to mourn; his five children, Carol, Glenn, Derrick, Linda and Terrance; sister Pearline Yancey; twelve grandchildren, David, Traherne, Lavonne, Kashina, Rhonda, Steven, Terrance Jr., Terry, Nate, Donnell, Musa and Blake; nineteen great-grandchildren, DJ, Darrell, Rod, Tim, Lump, Laquesha, Boodie, Miara, Kira, Da'Yonna, Paris, Da'woine, Elrico, Sharonda, Tyanna, Lavonne, Keon and Lil' Steve; two great-great-grandchildren, shamya and Z'nya; two daughters-in-law, Deborah and Marlene; three sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
