Nell Jane Johns Jennings, daughter of the late Missie and Robert Lee Johns, was born on January 12, 1925 in Lunenburg, Virginia. She departed this life quietly on March 4,2015. Nell was affectionately called Nana. She was one of seven children born to her parents. Willie Burt, Robert Lee, Hodges, Harry, Lews and Sadie Gallion all proceeding her in death. She received her education in the Lunenburg Public Schools in Victoria, VA. At an early age Nanajoined the John Pleasant Oak Baptist Church. Nana was friendly to everyone, she never treated you like a stranger. After moving to Philadelphia, PA with family she obtained a first job. Prior to moving to Philly she was bless with a daughter she called Lois. Later years she moved to Baltimore, Maryland and met and married the late Louis Jennings. After the union Nana was blessed with two sons, Michael and Curtis (both of whom proceeded her in death). While in Baltimore, MD she attended Fountain Baptist Church. Years later Nana, Louis and Curtis moved back to the home town of Victoria, V A, where they lived until Louis's death. Throughout the years Nana served as a dedicated and loyal caregiver to families and provided Domestic services. After her retirement one family stayed in touch by sending cards and pictures. Nana was very soft spoken and one of her greater passion was spending time with her family. She also liked, cooking, mastering word search puzzles and indulging in soap operas. She loved when family came to visit her in Virginia. No matter what time of day or night she had hot rolls and a pound cake. Many of her recipes has been pass down to her daughter and granddaughter. Nana leaves to cherish her memory: a dedicated daughter and caregiver, Lois Epps; daughter-in-law, Belinda Jennings; granddaughters, Wanda Gilmore, Danielle Jennings, and Donnita Jennings; grandson, Davon Jen- nings; great grandson, Marcus Johnson; great granddaughter, Jasmine Cum- mings; sisters-in-law, Mary Johns, Purnell Johns and Louise Johns and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. r;;;;; Memorial Service Joseph H.
