DEACONES NELLIE WARDELL was born in South Hill, Virginia to Bracey Winn and Nell Virginia Winn on June 27, 1941. She entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 18, 2009 at Bon Secours Hospital after a lengthy illness. Nellie was educated in South Hill, Virginia, and moved to Baltimore, Maryland in the seventies. She worked at City Hospital for several years. She joined Firest Emmanuel Baptist Church in 1993. Nellie joined several ministries. She was a Missionary, a Senior Choir Member and had been a faithful member of The Willing Workers, Ministry for twelve years until her health prevented her from doing so. Nellie was always doing something to make us laugh. She is survived by: her husband, Deacon Donald Wardell; two daughters, Martha Maddox of Virginia and Lillie Brown;two sons, Kevin Spencer and Michael Spencer; grandsons, Anthony and Davon Maddox; four sisters, Nannie Lee Smith, Virginia Ann Trailer, Arlene Harris and Linda Ghee; two brothers, Frank Winn and Bracey Winn Jr.; one aunt, Corey Winn;a host of other relatives and friends.
