Norma Virginia Washington Curry Davis, daughter of the late Frank W. Sr. and Bertha Virginia Washington, was born in Baltimore, Maryland on September 2, 1929 and departed this life on Monday, October 17, 2005 at Sinai Hospital. Norma received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System and graduated from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in 1947. Norma was a member of the Israel Baptist Church of Baltimore, Maryland for over forty years. Later in her life, she met and married George Norman Curry, and in 1950 from this union one son, Reginald Norman Curry was born. Norma was a dedicated worker and a Director for The Social Security Administration in Woodlawn, Maryland, for over forty years. She retired in 1986. Norma was a sophisticated, well-dressed lady and gave an encouraging word and showed love to everyone she met. Norma was an American League Daughter, Post #285. Later in life she met and married Carl Davis. Norma lived in the Howard Park Community for over forty years. She leaves to cherish her memory: her devoted son, Reginald Norman Curry; grandson, Renard Lockett; granddaughter, Pamela Curry; 7 great-grandchildren, Renard Jr., Ramar, Maurice, Renarde, Lufesnia, Jermaine and Jasmine; 1 brother preceded her in death, Dr. Frank Washington Jr.; 1 sister, Dorothy Mello; 2 uncles, William Harris and Thomas Washington; a best friend, Mrs. Mickie; and a host of cousins and friends.
