Obituary

Norma Regina Morton, a special gift from God, was the first of three children born to the late Joseph and Evelyn (Bernice) Brown on August 23, 1939 in Baltimore, Maryland. On December 1,2017, God called her home peacefully.

Micki, as many affectionately called her, received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System, graduating from the Frederick Douglas High School in June 1957. She later attended the Baltimore City Community College to continue her studies.

In 1966, she began her employment with the United States Postal Service in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Notably recognized for her great work ethic and dedication, Micki maintained a high stan- dard of performance throughout her career - never missing a beat. After 30 years of service, she completed her tenure with the United States Postal Service in Baltimore, Maryland.

Micki loved roller skating on Thursday nights at the Coliseum, around Lake Montebello, and even to work. She also enjoyed playing tennis, yoga, traveling, reading a good book, playing cards, watching CNN, winning at the casino - and yes, drinking a warm beer.

Those closest to Micki knew how much she loved spending time with family and friends. It was during those gatherings, where she would hilariously entertain and favor everyone with great stories, life experiences and plenty of jokes - of course, in between her laughing and coughing. Micki was also known as "The Human TV Guide," calling to let you know when your favorite TV show was on. "Ms. Fix It," ready to repair whatever was needed. One of her favorite sayings was "If it's not broke, don't fix it." She was truly an "Artist" within her own right.

A Mother, A Nana, A Sister, An Aunt, and A Friend - Micki impacted the lives of many. She was selfless, loving, kindhearted, and gentle spirit who possessed an infectious smile that could brighten any room. She always had an open door her home was your home. Though she will be greatly missed, Micki will remain forever in our hearts.

One sister, Jacqueline (Jackie) Edmondson preceded her in death.

Micki leaves to honor her precious memory: her son Raymond T. Brown; her daughter Natasha V. Morton; her sister Catherine (Kitty) Robinson; two grandchildren Alicia Brown and Donte White; one great-grandson Wesley Sanders; two aunts Mary Catherine Hawthorne and Alberta Baskerville; one uncle James Brown (Mary); two nieces; two great-nephews; one great-niece; and other relatives and friends.
