Norman William Garrett

son of the late Bill and Rosalie Garrett
was born on May 22, 1951. He quietly departed this life on February
13,2017.
Norman was educated in Baltimore City School, then he left to enter
Job Corp where he got his diploma and graduated as a Master Carpen-
ter. Shortly after he joined the Marine Corp, gaining the title of Sharp
Shooter and completing with an honorable discharge.
Norman loved to be active, playing and teaching his family and friends
how to shoot pool, play chess, checkers, swimming, building things etc.
Norman was a Jack of All Trades with a heart of Gold, if you needed
him, he was there. Norman was the quiet laid back type of person, who
loved his children, grand and great grandchildren, family, animals and
friends. Norman was loved by everybody he met, and will truly be
missed by all.
Preceded him in death were: Bill Garrett (father), Rosalie Garrett
(mother), Michael Garrett (brother), and Ta'Kera Abdul-Hamid (great
niece).
Norman leaves to cherish his awesome memories: Phillip (son), and
Denise (daughter), six grandchildren: Sharieen, Akira, Phillip Jr., Rich-
ard, Rudie and Jahryan; two great grandchildren, Khyr'ee and Aiden;
three sisters, Saundra, Janice and Linda; two brother-in-laws, Morris
and Otis; nieces and nephews, Kelton, Andre, Terry, Cherise (Jesse),
Ronnie, and Shonte; one uncle, Bobby Garrett (Connecticut), a very
special devoted friend, the love of his life, Denise Dorsey; and a host of
great nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
